It's a really cute animation. It would've been nice if you dropped the voice-acting altogether and mainly supported on body language as you do later in the cartoon. Also, I don't think the filter you put on the t-shirts is very effective. Stylistically, it doesn't belong right here.

There's some great frame-by-frame segments though.

Meh.

The humor is subjective of course, personally, they never made me laugh out loud, but I'm not going to take that into account. I'm sure there's people out there who enjoy the jokes, I'm just not one of them. What I am going to critique you on, though, is the absolute lack of evolution in your work.

Honestly, the voice-acting is the only thing that has been consistently decent in this old-baked series. The art and animation have been stuck in mediocrity since episode one. When will you finally decide to pick up some correct shading, drop the ugly strokes and shape tool. I can understand if you're not an amazing artist, but at least try doing something new once. After so many years, you're still animating a stick figure that doesn't even have an actual mouth, just his teeth bumping up and down.

Using motion tweening is fine. There's loads of cartoons that use it, such as Madness, South Park or the animated segments in the recent Alice: Madness Returns. However, all of these cartoons had a distinct style in art direction. In this series, it seems incredibly cheap and not blended in well at all.

This is critique to help you improve. The series is growing stale, and you know it is. Try something new. Anything that could possibly make you, as an artist, grow and not just let you stagnate on the spot by having Edd Egg act annoying, yet again.

Topnotch scenario and amazing voice-acting, but what was up with the animation in this movie? Motion-tweens up the ass make it all so unprofessional. The graphics could also have been better, but I'm not blaming that if you're still learning.

Well, I enjoyed it, but for the love of God, try to actually animate. The part where he transforms in a bat was a great oppurtunity to do so!

Carcoalharc.

Oh, Catobeplas... you sick fiend, you :3
This definitly wasn't your best though. Way more static then I'm used
from you.

Amazing work yet again. You never fail to let me laugh.
Love the old guys design and movement now, but I disliked the camera angles in this quick shot. All those close-ups made the movie unorganized. Half of the time I didn't know where to look at.

However, you did some astounding job yet again. You are a true master of comedy, voice acting, composing and animating.

Campermannerz?

This was mediocre. It was dull, but what really killed it for me: it had the most overacting voices ever. I see you were heading to parodying the typical way movies go, but this was just ridiculous.

There was hardly any animation involved and in this particular case: the lipsynching could've used at least SOME work. The commercial part is mildly funny for the first time, but spare us from the other 2 times.

This flash had nothing; no storyline, no clever jokes or graphical content. Next time you make something, please make it an animation instead of alternating between a bunch of pictures, if you catch my drift. It won't kill you.

Scythemantis responds:

I do a lot more animation (or try to) in my main series, The Fear Hole, as well as actual jokes with punchlines and setups. I'm as surprised as you that this bored, lazy distraction of mine became a featured movie :P

I have no idea what campermannerz is :(

Such a long time ago... Looking back on it, I've improved a LOT! This drawing was crap. I remember the annoying greyish background I never really bothered to fix it 100 procent... ^^

I'm sorry I didn't nominate this thread for the Art Forum Award.

SirNightOwl responds:

It's ok no worries :D
We're just happy we managed to get Frontpaged!

Lots of people have got better, the collab was made in early days for the art forum and who knows what the future holds eh? :D

Thanks for the great review

Improvement.

What a sad episode for Salad Fingers. I really pity him sometimes...

So, the sickness continues. I must say, this was the best Salad Fingers yet if you look at it graphicly. He use to just... stand there. Now I finally know he/she has elbow and knee-joints. Now to figure out the gender...

Hehe...

This was quite funny! It started of like some awesome Flash, and ended terribly. Some people just can't take a joke...

I hope we'll see a serious movie of you! It would look awesome, I believe.

Unoriginal

The point of the red line is that it is made by several artists on the Art forum, not by one guy...

-Make something more original (That's the zero for Style)
-Work on the graphics (The line should be more complex. Not just a cord.) Also, the space invader thing had to be animated
-Music was not disturbing, so that's a nice choice
-I got bored after a while, so make more randomness in you Flash

Sorry, but it's just TOO unoriginal too be interesting...
